Lana feels

My first week at college, by Alana.

Once upon a time there was a little girl. Then she was a bigger girl and she went away to school. Then she was an older girl, though not a bigger one, and she went away to college. This is the story of her first week at college. When she got there, she was a little scared and really excited. She met her new roommates and they were very nice. She went to lots of orientation events, met tons of new people, and loved her new school. She started classes four days after she arrived and enjoyed the first meetings, tried out for the crew team and the first drama production, and took the first steps towards being an active member of the LBTQQA organizations on campus. Once upon a time a little girl outgrew her shell and stood, feeling sometimes naked but mostly freed, with her feet planted firmly in new soil. This is my new beginning.
